Jessica HartanyHi and welcome!

I am currently approaching the end of my fourth year of studying at University of Technology Sydney as one of the first year Master of Architecture students with a prospect of completing my studies in 2010.

Previously I have graduated from the Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree in 2008 and in 2005 I have completed the Advanced Diploma of Architectural Technology at Sydney Institute of Technology Ultimo.

In the last three years, I have been working as a project design assistant for Nicholas Associates Architects (NAA) in which I have acquired a variety of experience  through a range of residential, commercial, hospitality and government projects in Sydney and the regional areas.

Working in a team, I have been involved on projects from the schematic design stage, development application, construction certificate and contract documentation stages.

Prior to my experience in an architectural office, I was working in the hospitality industry where I realised an acute understanding of learning and an exceptionally strong management and people skills in a teamwork environment.

My past time activities and interests include photography, reading, sketching, travelling, bush walking, rock climbing, and snorkelling.

I also participate in team sporting social events and activities such as touch football with the Vic Steamers and commenced my first season of dragon boat racing with the VADB team.

Having lived in two different countries, I am always fascinated by human adaptability to change and have an overgrown passion for travelling, exploring different countries, meeting new people, learning foreign cultures and architectures.
